Big 4 North Star Holiday Resort recently purchased 4 EMC electric vehicles from the Golf Cart Group, below is their comparison between running their petrol cars and the electric vehicles.
"I have been in remiss in not writing earlier, however before doing so we were anxious to thoroughly evaluate every aspect of not only the purchase of our four Electric Vehicles from you but also the cost benefit since changing from petrol driven vans for our housekeeping requirements.
We have been amazed at the reliability and manoeuvrability of the Electric Vehicles together with the almost total absense of noise pollution as our staff travel over the 10 ha of our resort to carry out their housekeeping chores, it has been a genuine road test exercise and exceeded our organisations most fastidious expections.
The operating cost comparisons reveal that the decision we made to change from petrol to electric was also correct;
| Petrol Vehicles - total cost for the four |
| Annual Registration and Third Party |
$2362.22
| Insurance |
$425.00
| Fuel |
$1252.50
Total
$4039.72
| Electric Vehicles - total cost for the four |
| Conditional Registration (first year only) |
$340.00
| Annual Conditional Registration |
$160.00
| Insurance |
$60.00
| Electricity to charge batteries 320 units @ 12c |
$38.40
Total
$258.40
An annual operating saving of some $3781.32 - thanks again for your excellent ongoing service."
Sincerely
Ian Beadel
